Recruits from India Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, climb a high obstacle during Confidence Course I at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Aug. 22. Many of the obstacles test the recruits’ confidence and mental strength in overcoming the challenges before them. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. India Company is scheduled to graduate Oct. 28.
