Five War Merit Crosses 1st Class without Swords, of the firm Deschler & Son, cased and in printed cartons of issue. Silvered, non-ferrous metal version with burnished edges, the waisted needles are punched "1". Silver impressed cases with push button closures, the maker's mark "Deschler & Sohn München" in the lids. Four orange- and one cream-coloured original cartons of issue imprinted with "Kriegsverdienstkreuz ". The silvering partially tarnished, the case hinges somewhat rusty, but otherwise in outstanding, unworn condition. From a Munich attic find.,
