HMS President, moored on north bank of the Thames painted in contemporary Dazzle camouflage by Tobias Rehberger. SEE DESCRIPTION

HMS President, moored on the north bank of the Thames in central London, is one of three surviving WWI warships. On its launch in 1918 it was painted in Dazzle camouflage - this was a technique devised by the British artist Norman Wilkinson and vorticist Edward Wadsworth to break up the outline of the ship with bold shapes and contrasts. As part of the 14-18-NOW World War One Centenary Art Commissions the artist Tobias Rehberger has created a contemporary dazzle design for the ship.
