Monarch Butterflies Arrive from Canada, Two Texas Species and A Creative Spiders Amazing Work.

The monarch butterflies migrating to Mexico arrive in North Texas yearly. The migration route brings the monarchs 4th generation to its wintering home in the mountains of north central Mexico's forest. Milkweed is the primary food supply for Monarchs. They will begin their next generation as they head north in the spring. It will take three generations to get there. The 4th generation migrates, winters, lay their eggs and spin their cacoon. This years migrating flocks are actually the great-great-great grandchildren of the ones here last year.
