Lieutenant Milton Monnette and Private Parks, from Ohio, discovered a wounded dog attempting to escape. The dog was caught in a wire entanglement, with the sentry's shot proving to be its undoing. This photograph was taken on April 14, 1918, in Ancerviller, France, and was captured by Sergeant 1st Class Chas. H. White.
