The ruins which have formed the subject of the accompatiying engraving, arc situatedwithin a short distance of an old Patau fortress of Ferozeshah, which still retainspossession of a Hindoo relic to which great interest is attached. The fortress is of greatextent, and contains a mosque, erected upon the site of a Hindoo temple. In thefront of this ruined mosque, and in the spot on which its principal gate was erected,.
