A rally billed as ‘Save our country, save our culture, save our future’ was held in the nation’s capital Canberra as part of the international day of protests by the PEGIDA movement, which is against the Islamification of the western world. Protesters marched from a meeting point across from the Hyatt Hotel to the Australian Parliament where they were met by a much smaller counter protest. There was much jubilation when they saw how small the counter protest was. Speakers addressed the rally in front of the Australian Parliament building.
