Themagnificent Keystone Block. and numerous other stores, the extensive shops, and thelar°e number of handsome dwellings erected the past year, have attracted the attention andadmiration of strangers, and no city in the State has excelled, if any have equalled her and progress, and the promise for the future is fully equal to the past. With a growth and prosperity founded upon so substantial a basis, little is hazarded instating that the population of 22,000 in 1867 will exceed 30,000 at the next census, andthat few towns present such strong inducements to the merchant, mechanic and businessman of every class for a permanent residence, as are presented by the city of Fort Wayne.
