The Boston Sword Pern, Nephrolepsis Exaltata Bostoniensis— A variety which originated in the vicinity of Boston,where it has been in popular favor for a number of years under the name of Boston Fern. In the vicinity of Boston no other plant is used so extensively as this graceful Nephrolepsis, which differs from the ordinary Fern in having much longer fronds, which frequently attain a length of four feet. These fronds arch and droop over very gracefully, on account of which it is frequently called the Fountain Fern. This drooping habit makes it an excellent plant to grow as a single specimen on a table or pedestal.
