The top few inches of the bowl have intricate patterns and below this are trefoil arches that wrap around the bowl. Above each arch support are small images of a building with a domed roof. Two whole archways are clearly seen, and each one has two figures, one standing over another curled up on the standing figure on the right is holding a circular shield and holds a weapon that resembles a whip above his head, as if about to strike the man on the ground. The standing figure on the left appears to be armoured, with a long shield, sword and crown. There is some writing on the top of the arches and up the left side of the arches. vertical struts
