Jack and Jill Windmills Nr Clayton Southdowns West Sussex England

The two windmills sit high on the Southdowns above Clayton. Jack is a black tower mill, erected in 1866. Jill is a white post mill, originally built in Brighton in 1821 and later transported over the downs by oxen to its current position. Jill stopped working in 1907, but now has been fully restored by enthusiasts.
