Water from the bathing pool at Ffynnon Beuno holy well, Denbighshire, flows out through the mouth of a 'Celtic' stone figure with raised palms held together on its chest. Drinking, or bathing in the healing waters was considered a cure for several conditions including eczema, epilepsy, paralysis, rheumatism, sore eyes & warts. Some suggest the figure represents St Winefride (Winifred) whose severed head was miraculously replaced by St Beuno.
