In the eighth dorsal segment a cohimn of white matter, deflected mechanically, has been thrust in-to the gray matter, and disfigures the left anterior the seventh dorsal segment the same bundle of disar-ranged white fibers has produced a still greater effect onthe configuration of the gray matter, and separates the dis-torted and fused anterior horns from the posterior horns.(See Fig. 1-2, section 2.) It is interesting to note that theauthor describes the concentric arrangement of horizontalfibers about the displaced white column shown in Fig. occurs occasionally in bruises.
