A handsome hardy perennial, native of Japan, flowering in autumn,and forming a very valuable addition to the list of available border-plants. Angelonia grandiflora (Large-flowered Angelonia). — A pretty scrophuiaria-ceous plant from South America. It is of most elegant habit, freely branching,with lanceolate leaves, and showy spii<es of purplish-blue flowers, which are de-lightfully fragrant. It maybe easily raised from seeds; and, though usually. ANGELONIA GKANDIFLORA. reo-arded as a stove-plant, warm greenhouse-temperature will suit it in tliewinter, and it may be planted out in the summer months. For this, also, we areindebted to Messrs.
